This is my entry for the Crimble challenge at Arty Inklings.
I started by stamping some Christmas words onto some crackly tissue paper then glued these onto my canvas board.
A coat of gesso was the applied to tone down the colour of the words. Then with red, green and blue fresco paints i covered the board with different stencil designs.
Next I glued my tree dedesign to the board.
Finally i stamped more images and outlined the tree, added a gold star and toned all these down with some snow flake paint.
I love this... love how the layers in the background build up so beautifully, and then get muted so that that fabulous tree can take centre stage - it's just great.
